Jangan fikir nak sedap aje...
Lain plak ceritanya di tempat aku..
Tiap-tiap hari masa balik keja nafas aku mesti sesak. Taman perumahan tempat aku menyewa rumah penuh dengan teenagers tak kira laki pompuan berpeleseran sana sini naik motor. Kita yang drive ni plak kena extra careful. Diorang yang naik motor bleh plak bergurau, senda bertempuk tampar, bergelak-gelak dan bersembang-sembang tak hirau orang lain kat jalan tu. Yang paling menyedihkan semua teenagers tu MELAYU!!! Tak dak langsung cina, india or bangsa lain. Haiihhhh... apa nak jadi nih. Kalau alasan nak hilangkan tension dan boring takkan tiap-tiap hari pusing taman tu cuci mata. Kalau nak hilangkan tension dan boring takkan nak berpeleseran macam tu pon berlipstick bagai. Please... Kenapa korang jek macam tu orang lain tak macam tu. Tak dek playstation baca la majalah, novel, surat khabar, surfing internet. Jangan baca majalah or tengok video porno plak. =p Gelap hati tau. Sebab tu la belajar pape pon ilmu payah nak lekat kat dada. Dah macam membebel plak. Serius..aku malu tengok bangsa aku macam tu. Buatlah sesuatu yang membanggakan. Yup..Tak semua macam tu. Sakitnyaaa...
Aku nak share sumthing ngan korang. Aku baca ni dari blog suzie. Ori nya dari SINI

Wahai anak-anak dan kawan-kawan sekalian.
Terlajak perahu boleh diundur.
Sesungguhnya perbuatan zina itu satu DOSA BESAR.
Bertaubat lah kepadaNYA sementara pintu itu masih terbuka.
jangan berdua-duaan, pegang-pegang, sentuh-sentuh, kiss-kiss
dan semua yang sewaktu dengannya.
So halalkan semua ni dengan KAWEN!!!!!

Umpama mimpi dalam mimpi dalam mimpi dalam mimpi...
Last weekend aku berpacaran dengan hubby.
Borong 5 tin susu sekaligus sampai promoter tu pandang pelik. Tak payah pelik amoi. Kitorang ni datang dari jauh. Bukan senang nak cari susu ilham kat Perlis kay. Kalo ikutkan nak beli lebih lagi. Tapi troli dah penuh dengan diapers ilham.
Abes memborong pegi Jusco Bandar Perda plak. Owhhh... tidak shopping apa-apa. Pegi situ semata-mata nak tengok wayang jek. Banyak citer baru rupanya sekarang ni. Citer yang dah lama keluar tapi tak tengok lagi pon banyak. So..end up pilih Inception. Sebab..terbaca kat poster dier --> 'FROM THE DIRECTOR OF DARK NIGHT. Iyerr... itu jek. Aku bukan peminat Leonardo Di Caprio. Citer dier sangat best. Sampai hari ni tak abes-abes dok ulang kat hubby asyik teringat citer Inception tu.
Pastu bleh jupe anak tercinta plak. So dia pon accept task ni. Nak tau task aper baik korang layan sendri citer ni. Kalo aku citer tak suspense plak kan.
Amaran: Make sure tepon off terus. Tak payah beli pop corn ke apa ker nak makan masa tu sebab korang tak kan ader masa nak kunyah. Setiap saat penting untuk faham keseluruhan cerita. Aku beli pepsi jek masa tu. Last-last aku minum 2-3 kali jek sebelum citer mula. Kushyukkkk...!!

Terimalah hakikat Argentina kalah!

Semua dah tahu GERMANY menang melawan Argentina. 4-0 lagik. Tapi tak semua boleh terima hakikat Argentina kalah tanpa apa-apa point. Germany menang besar. Kalau dapat score 4 gol bukan nasib. Tapi dah memang terer la tu.
Game malam tu memang best. Dulu-dulu suka Germany sebab ader Klose (biasa lah tu kan =p). Tapi sejak tengok game Germany menentang England untuk World Cup 2010 ni aku memang salute lah permainan diorang.
Well.. malam tu Argentina main tak la teruk sangat macam Brazil main masa lawan Belanda. Sakitnya hati tengok Brazil main.
Tahun ni first time layan World Cup dengan hubby.

Stylish yet elegant.
Namun rezeki hanya tempat kelima.
Faham la aku bila juri komen ini pertandingan koir.
Markah untuk keterampilan 5 jek. Harmony 40 markah!
CODE: T.Fauziah
Chupp!! DEPARTMENT AKU TIDAK MENANG 1ST PRIZE. Tempat ketiga jek dari 5 group yang bertanding. Almost last la tu kan. Muahahaa.. Tapi berada di dalam group underdog (yang baru ditubuhkan sebulan, berlatih 2 jam x 2 minggu jek) membuatkan keterujaan melampau bila menang 3rd prize sekalipon! Bagi chance la aku teruja woiii.. =p
FULL STOP!
P/S: Aku tengok game slovakia lawan Itali ni. Betol-betol tengok punya. Memang Itali patut kalah. (Jangan marah yer fan Itali. France pon kalah jugak kan. So tak yah kecik hati) To Slovakian: Best kan kalo orang asyik cakap then siap bet lagi team korang akan kalah tengok-tengok menang. Dengan Itali plak tu bukan Afrika Selatan kan. (Macam Orang Slovakia baca blog aku. Ekekeke...)

Too Good To Be True... But It's true I guess
Jalal cakap kat wife dier yg sebenar 'saya teringat isteri saya Akma' (which is Rita Rudaini dalam drama Raflesia tu) Jalal gitau hati dia macam tak tenteram jek. Asik teringat Rita. Dengan cool nya wife dia yg sebenar cakap 'Tak pe. Esok jumpa Rita bagitau dier'. Esoknya Jalal jupe dan bagitau Rita. Lepas bagitau baru dier rasa tenteram.
--> My goodness. Bapak sporting bini dier. Bak kata Jalal memang susah nak tengok bini dier jeles. Kalo aku...?
2) Setiap kali balik dari shooting bini dier la yang cucikan make up kat muka Jalal, tanggalkan stoking dan bagai. Setiap hari dia buat rutin ni selama 33 tahun diorang kawen.
--> Owwhhh... Kerdilnya diri ini. Time tu asik terfikir jek.
3) Kalo kat tempat shooting Jalal akan call wife dier berkali-kali nak tanya buat apa, makan ke blom. Kalo tak angkat mesti Jalal marah. Kalo shooting luar KL berhari-hari wife dier akan susah hati tak bleh tido sebab Jalal akan call selalu.
--> Time berchenta je la selalu nya cenggini kot.. Hahahaha...
Ok. Sudah-sudah la tu. Bukan pasal hal laki bini ni yang aku sebokkan. Tapi merenung kisah kehidupan suami isteri yang dah tua tapi masih sweet-sweet gitu alahaiiii sonok dengar. Tak perlu ciom peluk sakan nak express kasih sayang kay.
Susah payah pecut balik rumah ingatkan bini terchenta yang terpaksa bertenggek kat luar rumah sebab terlupa bawak kunci (Ok..aku selalu lupa =p) Alih-alih bini dier ni sedap jek layan cheese cake kat Secret Recipe. Ampun yer bang. Tak buat dah pasni.

Blog yg bersawang dan kerahan tenaga yg tak berpenghujung..
Aku yg tak reti buat entry yg kreatif or ilham punya smiling tak cukup kiut vs baby2 lain. Hahaha... sapa cakap ilham nyer smiling tak kiut. Nak gigit2 jek tengok ilham senyum. Tak de rezeki la tu. So aku kena sedaya upaya curi masa wat entry untuk Cutest Baby of The Planet 2009.
This is my very 1st entry for year 2010. Tak de pon entry penutup 2009. Tak de jugak entry untuk 2010 opening. Ok... aku tau. Macam2 program yang nak tak nak kena beroperasi on the 1st day of 2010. Sangat malang bler Perlis tak cuti new year.
Penat? Lebih dari tu. Minggu pertama kena keja 13 jam tiap2 hari. Kalo keja kilang ada OT kay. OT=duit=masyuk. Aku? Claim time off jek. So.. Time off aku dalam sebulan jek dah 25 jam lebih. Bler nak amek tu?? Kalo amek off keja tak jalan. Sapa nak buat keja yg berbukit2 tu??
So.. patutkah aku berambus dari sini?? Cari keja lain?? Uwaaa... bonded weiii. Nak blah kna bayar!!!

"Perkahwinan Adalah Tempat Untuk Mencari Teman Hidup.."
Melayan Ally Iskandar dan Ahmad Fetri host rancangan MHI membebel pagi2.
Anang menjadi tetamu penutup rancangan MHI hari ni.
Tunggu hubby balik masa tea break nanti.

Loving Without Losing Yourself
You are in love and it feels wonderful. This love is different and you are prepared to do anything to make it last. To prevent this ship from sinking you work hard to steer this relationship into a safe harbor. In the process you lose yourself and your romantic relationship becomes all-consuming!
When Kyra fell head-over-heels for Dan she went out of her way to create a wonderful relationship. She found herself at hockey games, watching horror movies, at parties with his friends and on vacations with his family. At home, things were not much different. Kyra cooked his favorite meals, kept house the way he wanted and listened to music of his choice. On Dan’s advice, Kyra cut her hair short, wore less make-up and a conservative wardrobe. She had even given up her night classes, because they cut into their dinnertime. For Dan, this relationship was perfect. In an effort to not disappoint him, Kyra lived in constant anxiety. She had adapted to his lifestyle, defended his views and even began to talk like him. Kyra’s friends witnessed her change from a spirited and happy woman to a subdued and pleasing personality. This relationship had sucked the life out of Kyra, yet she was the last to notice.
While compromise in a relationship is a necessary ingredient for it’s success, denying the core of who you are is not. When you finally realize that an all-consuming relationship is depleting you, there will be nothing left but resentment. It will be difficult to reclaim yourself while remaining in that same relationship. The outcome of such a relationship is usually a heart-breaking crisis, with no one but you to blame.
The opposite of an all-consuming relationship is a half-hearted relationship. In this relationship you withhold affection until the evidence is in that the other is hooked. I love you, if you love me first has become a common trend. Fearing that you will give more love than you receive, you put your partner on probation and control the power in this relationship. You judge according to your expectations and keep track of his or her scores. The higher the scores, the more you are willing to reward with love. This conditional view creates tremendous emotional insecurity.
All-consuming or halfhearted relationships are very unnatural and unhealthy. Ironically, both types are guided by fear. In an all-consuming relationship, fear of not being loved is the driving force. In a halfhearted relationship, fear of being hurt prevents you from knocking down protective walls.
Is there a happy medium? To you love wholeheartedly without losing yourself requires a very different perspective of relationships. Even though you know that relationships require work, deep down you cling to a sweet illusion that meeting the right person is all it takes. You will then take off on your magic carpet ride. Think again! Soon that magic rug will be pulled from underneath you.
If you long for a partner who is wholeheartedly behind you, ask yourself, are you the same partner? Do you give that which you seek in your relationship? Ironically, many lack the qualities they seek in their partners. Listen to your heart and when it feels right, feel the fear and love anyway. Love without hesitation and with all you heart. Don’t let your fear of rejection and getting hurt kill your desires or steal your dreams. You may have stared in the face of love before. Maybe you “chickened-out.” Next time, don’t be a chicken!
If you are in a relationship of love, here is a universal truth: Love is choice and if you choose it wholeheartedly, you are never going to lose it. Love teaches you to become a better human being. Restore your faith in love and become emotionally available to each other. Put your fears and your past behind you and become lovable by being loving. Learn to trust by trusting yourself. Surrendering to love does not mean losing yourself. Yet, even when it is safe to open your heart, you may feel weakened by the anxiety that this love will disappear.
When in love, how do you preserve your identity and course in life? Here is the number one reason for losing yourself in a relationship: Your belief that love is something you either deserve or not! Your misguided belief leads you to counterproductive efforts to do almost anything to get love and even more to hold onto it:
You modify your identity to gain approval and love from your partner. You hold back intimacy to protect your vulnerability. You have a need to manipulate your partner. There is nothing you have to be, or do, to earn love. When it is love, there is very little you can do to destroy it. If you can believe that, you will accept that:
You can be loved even if you are not perfect You can be loved while keeping your course in life You can be loved without getting lost in love Love is the most powerful human lesson you are ever to learn. It is a purposeful interdependence through which you become so much more than on your own. Once you can understand that love is not something to be found, rather it is in you to be shared, you can love wholeheartedly without fear. Don’t turn your back on love every time it touches you, because when you give up on love you give up on yourself.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------PENDAPAT AKU
You can be loved even if you are not perfect You can be loved while keeping your course in life You can be loved without getting lost in love(Last paragraph)
-->I totally disagree with this statement. Change for the sake of relationship. Why not? Tapi kalo berubah sampai hilang identiti sendiri itu bukanlah sebaik2nya. Hey.. come on. Kalo seseorang tu sanggup berubah apa lagi la maksudnya kalo bukan sebab sayang. Penghargaan of course! Oooo please.. Nak buat perubahan bukan senang kay. Macam aku nak ubah habit staf aku supaya sign di belakang prescription bukan kat depan prescription Mudah jek kan. Tapi kim salam. Sampai sekarang macam tu jugaklah. Time orang datang audit pandai plak nak ikut procedure. So, bukan senang nak berubah. Tapi tak susah kalo kita willing nak berubah. Yup.. it will takes time. But the most important thing is the acceptance. How u react to the changes. How u appreciate it.
Apa la yg aku merapu ni. Sori. Buang masa korang je baca.. Juz my 2 cents.

Apa la prob aku nih????? Part 2
Guess wat?? I was diagnosed to have astigmatism!!!
Bunyi macam dasat gler kan. Tapi tak de pape pon =p
It is juz an optical defect. Not a serious defect of course.
Astigmatism = optical defect in which vision is blurred due to the inability of the optics of the eye to focus a point object into a sharp focused image on the retina -Wikipedia-
Petang tu aku pon pi la kedai spec untuk check mata aku after suggested by doc kt klinik aku. The optician cakap mata aku ni terlalu letih untuk wat keje yg perlukan tumpuan macam membaca or ngadap computer. So dier suggest aku wat spec la. Then aku tanya la. Kalo wat spec fenin aku ni akan hilang tak? Dia cakap mungkin. But it takes time. Da tgk2 la spec yg ada kt kedai tu. Banyak gak try macam2 jenis frame. Tapi end up aku cakap later la aku datang lagi (mesti dia bengang jek.. ahaks). Well.. jangan salahkan aku yer miss optician. Tak de satu pon design kt ctu yg aku berkenan! Terus jek shoot balik umah.
Masa tengah pam susu dalam paler ni tak habes2 fikir. Btol ke apa yg optician tu cakap. Untuk clear up everything aku decide nak dapatkan 2nd opinion pasal aku nyer condition ni. Lepas jek pam aku round2 pekan kangar yg tak besar mana tu. Staf aku cakap depan mahkamah ada satu kedai spec. Tengok2 tutup plak. Round lagik cari. Pastu terjupela satu kedai ni dekat ngn kedai Anakku. Takut keciwa ngn explanation dier. (I need a strong explanation kay..) Tapi aku masuk gak. (I used to have a very clear vision before. Sekarang tidak lagi!!) Pastu budak tu siap minta IC lagi untuk registration. Biar btol??
Tak pe2. Yg penting explanation dier nanti. Ingatkan da habis. Tengok2 check kat mesin lain plak. Mesin ni lagik detail. Dier suh baca huruf kt slaid yg betukar2. Ada gk slaid huruf atas background merah n hijau. Macam nak test buta warna plak. Hahaaa.. Time ni la aku blajar vocab baru. ASTIGMATISM! Ha?? Pardon? Apa tu?? Bler dier cakap fatigue eyes baru paham. Explanation yg lain sama jek macam 1st optician tu. Dia kata nak buat spec boleh tak nak buat pon bleh. Tapi dia recommend suh buat tapi tak payah pakai all the time. Pakai untuk reading, driving and computing jek. Nak buat sekarang ok nak buat lenkali pon x pe. Yg penting, aku puas hati ngn explanation dier. Lagi padat dan konkrit kay walopon intipati yg sama. (Perghh.. intipati tu!) Lagi satu yg aku nak bagi kredit kat kedai ni dia simpan result check mata tu as reference in the future. Dats y kena register sebelum check. Sebelum balik dia bagi brochure pasal anti-fatigue lenses by essilor. (Miss Optician, Good marketing strategy!) Anyone pnah dgr pasal lense ni tak?? Memang sangat ok ker???
Pastu tatau plak nak pilih yg macam mana. Full frame, half frame or frameless??
Aku sangat berkenan ngn spec pompuan ni.. Bentuk perfect! Tapi tatau la kalo seswai ngn aku ke tak..
Frameless cani pon admire gak. Ke sebab pompuan ni yg cun sebab tu nampak perfect je spec tu
Pape pon kna try dlu. Yg sure aku memang tak suka half frame. Look weird. Nampak macam sumthing hanging kt muka aku.

Apa la prob aku nih?????
Ahad pon cmtu gk. Tak de tanda nak ok langsung. Wat bodoh gak. Sib baik aku bleh drive lagik. Bleh jalan cam besa. Cuma kadang2 tu rasa nak tumbang. The worst part is aku da mula risau pasal fenin aku yg tak hilang2 ni. Tak sabar jek tunggu kursus habis sebab nak gi check blood pressure. Well.. kita akan realize kan kalo badan kita tak well response. Or badan kita respond lain macam. Pas abes kursus terus cari kedai farmasi. Kedai farmasi kat kangar ni mungkin banyak. Tapi yg aku tau satu jek. Tapi gler nyer frust bler org kedai tu cakap diorang x der offer service check BP. Biar btol?????????? Disebabkan paler yg makin memusing2 dan vision makin blur aku balik umah terus. Hopefully after rest this prob will resolve. Dan harap2 umur aku panjang lagi sampai hari ni so dat aku leh check kt klinik aku jek. Dalam hati ni tak habis2 berdoa harap2 mmg x der pape ar kan. Tapi paler ni da fikir macam2 benda tak elok. Paling aku takut blood pressure shoot up then end up with hemorraghic stroke!! Nauzubillah... minta dijauhkan Allah sumer2 ni. Sapa nak jaga ilham nanti?????? Aku nak besarkan ilham dengan tangan aku sendiri YA ALLAH.. Izinkanlah...
Yepp.. Alhamdulillah. Allah panjangkan umur aku lagi. Hari ni aku masih bernafas. After settle few things kat KK Kangar aku terus gi klinik aku. Nyendeng2 kat nurse MCH minta diorang check blood pressure aku. 90/70 mmHg. Normal!!! Alhamdulillah.. Possibility untuk dapat hemorrhagic stroke x de. The funny thing is nurses kt MCH wat lawak plak cakap may be aku pregnant. Perghhh..!!! Jangan la.. Lagipun tengah mensus la. Mana mungkin. Aku buat blood test gak. Full blood count normal. Lega... Tapi aku wat gak test lain cam lipid profile, renal profile & liver profile. Have to wait 2-3 days to get the result. Lab klinik aku tak run test ni. Kena hantar darah pi spital. Tak pe. Sabar je la. Pastu aku jupe doc klinik aku nak minta opinion. Dier check ar mata. Dier cakap base ok. May b sumthing to do with power mata aku. So petang ni aku decide nak pi kedai spec. Kola perlis tak de kdai spec ok.. adess..
Hari ni dengan paler yg pusing2 & mood yg x baper ader (monday blues) plus hati yang sakit dn jiwa yg kacau (poyo!!), macam2 benda yg menyakitkan hati plak jadi. Masa nak load ubat dalam kete kt KK kangar ada plak sorang bro ni tempik suh ubah keta sebab ada keta len nak lalu kat situ. Wei bro.. ko ingat aku bengap sangat ke nak park tengah2 jalan. Ni aku tempik balik. Tapi dalam hati jek. Sebab bos aku ada kat situ. =p Aku hangin gler ngn bro tu. Dah la buncit. Dri*** jek pon. Memang kurang ajar la. Yang orang nak lalu tu pon x reti2 word sabar. Nangis kang kalo aku bakar kete dier. Sakit hati tak terkira masa tu. Malas nak pnjang citer ngn org buncit tu aku blah terus walopon ader lagi ubat yg aku x sempat nak amek. Pastu 2 orang pakcik ni kat situ sembang2 smbil tunjuk kat aku. Aku naik keta pastu stop depan diorang.. "Saya nak amek ubat ni pakcik" sambil tunjuk box ubat sebelah aku. Pakcik tu angguk paler dan gitau- baik2 lalu kat depan tu. Sempit jalan dier. Aku senyum je la. Psycho tak aku. Please don mess with me kay. i'll make u sorry u're born!! Muahahaha... berani gertak je ni.

Ilham da recover.. finally!
Sekarang dah pukul 1.15am. Aku tak tido lagi. Si kecik ni pon tak tido lagi. Dah la esok aku kursus. Sib baik la kt sini jgk. Mahunyer tersengguk aku esok dgr ceramah. Ilham plak kena tinggal ngn PIL. Papa ilham x sanggup nk jaga ilham for the whole day. Cukup lah separuh hari ni kna ngadap ilham. Da macam pompuan kna PMS plak mama tgk papa bler mama balik dari kursus tadi. Tu pun mama blah awal gk td bler pikir pasal papa ngn ilham. Da pecut keta laju2 dah nak smpai umah. Risau ilham wat hal then papa x leh handle end up papa tensi dn x mo jaga ilham smpai bila2 dah. Kalo papa x sanggup jaga ilham kalo mama pi kursus mama yg susah. Mmg bleh tinggal ilham ngn tok. Tapi mama yg meroyan nnti rindu kt ilham. Mama mana pnah tinggal ilham berhari-hari.
So accept gk kursus ni sbb dekat jek. So nxt time kalo ada kursus pon leh ar nk elak2. Babysiter plak bz ngn persiapan kawen anak dier. Kalo ada maid kan senang. Usung je maid pi sana sini. Tak payah susahkan sesaper. Susahkan poket sendri jek nk bayar maid bulan2. Janji ilham sentiasa di sisi. Yer la. Cian papa. Kalo jaga ilham sumer keja papa tak jadi. Papa tak leh nak layan movie.. papa tak leh layan anime.. papa tak leh tido. =p
Hari ni papa ngaku mama ni penyelamat. Sbb ada ndek aka nenen. Dapat wat ilham tido siang lama. Padahal last 2 days papa ngaku papa penyelamat keadaan masa ilham demam. Sebab berjaya buat ilham tdo dalam baby carrier setelah ndek mama gagal memujuk ilham yg meragam. Cehh.. Mama yg baik hati malas nk cakap banyak. Sebab.. papa da byk tolong mama. Kemas rumah.. tukar lampin ilham, mandikan ilham, jaga ilham bila mama kursus. Dan mama tetap tersenyum ngn comel walopon sgt tensi bler papa membebel bler mama terlupa bwk blk alas getah ilham. Mama berpura2 slumber walopon papa membebel lagik bler mama bwk blk diapers lain tapi tak bawak blk diapers huggies. Patutnya mama cakap after this papa yg siapkan sumer barang2 ilham kay... So dat x kan ada lagik bnda ilham yg tertinggal.. =p
Sekian bebelan dari pihak mama plak. =p
Peace no war...

Wooooo... Gler touching!!!
you and your partner have to read this.. trust me.. berbaloi-baloi...!!
To All Married Couples and To All Future Couples
When I got home that night as my wife served dinner, I held her hand and said, I’ve got something to tell you. She sat down and ate quietly. Again I observed the hurt in her eyes.
Suddenly I didn’t know how to open my mouth. But I had to let her know what I was thinking. I want a divorce. I raised the topic calmly. She didn’t seem to be annoyed by my words, instead she asked me softly, why? I avoided her question. This made her angry. She threw away the chopsticks and shouted at me, you are not a man!
That night, we didn’t talk to each other. She was weeping. I knew she wanted to find out what had happened to our marriage. But I could hardly give her a satisfactory answer; I had lost my heart to a lovely girl called Dew. I didn’t love her anymore. I just pitied her!
With a deep sense of guilt, I drafted a divorce agreement which stated that she could own our house, 30% shares of my company and the car. She glanced at it and then tore it into pieces. The woman who had spent ten years of her life with me had become a stranger. I felt sorry for her wasted time, resources and energy but I could not take back what I had said for I loved Dew so dearly.
Finally she cried loudly in front of me, which was what I had expected to see. To me her cry was actually a kind of release. The idea of divorce which had obsessed me for several weeks seemed to be firmer and clearer now.
The next day, I came back home very late and found her writing something at the table. I didn’t have supper but went straight to sleep and fell asleep very fast because I was tired after an eventful day with Dew. When I woke up, she was still there at the table writing. I just did not care so I turned over and was asleep again.
In the morning she presented her divorce conditions: she didn’t want anything from me, but needed a month’s notice before the divorce. She requested that in that one month we both struggle to live as normal a life as possible. Her reasons were simple: our son had his exams in a months time and she didn’t want to disrupt him with our broken marriage.
This was agreeable to me. But she had something more, she asked me to recall how I had carried her into out bridal room on our wedding day. She requested that everyday for the month’s duration I carry her out of our bedroom to the front door ever morning. I thought she was going crazy.
Just to make our last days together bearable I accepted her odd request.
I told Dew about my wife s divorce conditions. She laughed loudly and thought it was absurd. No matter what tricks she applies, she has to face the divorce, she said scornfully. My wife and I hadn’t had any body contact since my divorce intention was explicitly expressed. So when I carried her out on the first day, we both appeared clumsy. Our son clapped behind us, daddy is holding mummy in his arms. His words brought me a sense of pain. From the bedroom to the sitting room, then to the door, I walked over ten meters with her in my arms. She closed her eyes and said softly; don’t tell our son about the divorce. I nodded, feeling somewhat upset.
I put her down outside the door. She went to wait for the bus to work. I drove alone to the office.
On the second day, both of us acted much more easily. She leaned on my chest.. I could smell the fragrance of her blouse. I realized that I hadn’t looked at this woman carefully for a long time. I realized she was not young any more. There were fine wrinkles on her face, her hair was graying! Our marriage had taken its toll on her. For a minute I wondered what I had done to her.
On the fourth day, when I lifted her up, I felt a sense of intimacy returning. This was the woman who had given ten years of her life to me. On the fifth and sixth day, I realized that our sense of intimacy was growing again. I didn’t tell Dew about this. It became easier to carry her as the month slipped by. Perhaps the everyday workout made me stronger.
She was choosing what to wear one morning. She tried on quite a few dresses but could not find a suitable one. Then she sighed, all my dresses have grown bigger. I suddenly realized that she had grown so thin, that was the reason why I could carry her more easily. Suddenly it hit me; she had buried so much pain and bitterness in her heart.
Subconsciously I reached out and touched her head. Our son came in at the moment and said, Dad, it’s time to carry mum out. To him, seeing his father carrying his mother out had become an essential part of his life. My wife gestured to our son to come closer and hugged him tightly. I turned my face away because I was afraid I might change my mind at this last minute. I then held her in my arms, walking from the bedroom, through the sitting room, to the hallway. Her hand surrounded my neck softly and naturally. I held her body tightly; it was just like our wedding day.
But her much lighter weight made me sad. On the last day, when I held her in my arms I could hardly move a step. Our son had gone to school. I held her tightly and said, I hadn’t noticed that our life lacked intimacy. I drove to office… jumped out of the car swiftly without locking the door. I was afraid any delay would make me change my mind… I walked upstairs. Dew opened the door and I said to her, Sorry, Dew, I do not want the divorce anymore.
She looked at me, astonished. Then touched my forehead. Do you have a fever? She said. I moved her hand off my head. Sorry, Dew, I said, I won’t divorce. My marriage life was boring probably because she and I didn’t value the details of our lives, not because we didn’t love each other any more. Now I realize that since I carried her into my home on our wedding day I am supposed to hold her until death does us apart.
Dew seemed to suddenly wake up. She gave me a loud slap and then slammed the door and burst into tears. I walked downstairs and drove away. At the floral shop on the way, I ordered a bouquet of flowers for my wife. The salesgirl asked me what to write on the card. I smiled and wrote:
‘I’ll carry you out every morning until death do us apart’
The small details of our lives are what really matter in a relationship. It is not the mansion, the car, the property, the bank balance that matters. These create an environment conducive for happiness but cannot give happiness in themselves. So find time to be your spouse’s friend and do those little things for each other that build intimacy. Do have a real happy marriage!
If you don’t share this, nothing will happen to you, but if you do, you just might save a marriage.
Relationships are made not to exploit, not to be broken.
We teach some by what we say
We teach some more by what we do
But we teach most by what we are
You don’t get to choose how you are going to die, or when, but, you can decide how you are going to live, here and now.
